Takes great care to listen and works with you to define your issues in a way that feels true to you, accurate and helpful. Makes insightful suugesions, whilst respecting your own understandings and views about your situation. Is clear my very experienced and has lots of expertise, whilst being open and easy to talk to.

I can’t thank Dr Klemperer enough for the way she is currently treating me. She has the perfect balance of complete emphathy and understand combined with her medical approach. I have seen other doctors in the last who I have felt were too cold or clinical for me to be entirely honest with. I don’t feel this way at all with Dr Klemperer. I feel like she has saved my life and I feel better every time I see her.

I am 22 and have seen Dr Klemperer a few times in the last month and a bit. She's really an amazing Psychiatrist and I always leave her office feeling relieved. I mention my age as I know some young people have a hard time finding a psychiatrist that 'gets them', who is non judgemental and is genuinely there to help. I fully trust her and feel like I can open up and be completely honest, something I have found difficult to do with other people! Basically, I can't recommend her enough and am very much looking forward to our next session :)

Dr Klemperer is honestly great. She listens, is understanding and caring and doesn't judge. I consider myself very lucky and fortunate to have found her and can't wait for my next session.

Profile

I studied medicine at Cambridge University and Guy’s Hospital, London.

I trained in psychiatry at Guy’s Hospital, where I conducted award-winning research, publishing in the British Medical Journal and the British Journal of Psychiatry.

In addition, I hold the Institute of Psychiatry's qualification in cognitive behavioural therapy, a field in which I am recognised by the Royal College of Psychiatrists as having special expertise. This combined knowledge of psychiatry and psychotherapy allows me to make comprehensive assessments of my patients’ life difficulties.

I have worked as a consultant psychiatrist in London and Brussels, with over 20 years experience as a consultant in general adult psychiatry.

I practice in the NHS in Westminster and in Kensington and Chelsea, am an honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College and have an independent practice.

I aim always to collaborate closely with my patients to properly understand their particular situation and to actively work with them to develop the most appropriate and effective long-term therapeutic plan.
